Clark College is currently accepting applications for a full-time, permanent classified Administrative Services Manager C for the Workforce Professional Technical Education/Science, Technology, Engineering & Math (WPTE & STEM) unit. This position reports to the Dean of WPTE & STEM and is responsible for managing and directing the operations and resources of the WPTE & STEM unit. Exercising independent judgment and delegated decision-making authority, the Administrative Services Manager C is responsible for a broad scope of activities including planning, organizing, implementing, coordinating, and controlling administrative services for the unit. The hours for this position are Monday – Friday 8am-5pm. This position is expected to work in-person, on-campus full-time.

  • In conjunction with the unit Dean, facilitate fiscal management, funds management, grant/contract administration, program and budget planning and compliance.
  • Interpret policies and procedures for the unit.
  • Personnel administration and staff supervision.
  • Oversee and manage instructional processes.
  • Work collaboratively with unit Dean, staff and faculty leaders, and other college departments to accomplish the work of the unit.
  • Facilitate operations and resources for the WPTE & STEM unit.
  • Facilitate all WPTE & STEM building related matters.
  • Oversee and manage division operation support staff.
  • Perform related duties as required.

Candidates will be evaluated based on application materials, including the supplemental questions and personal interview(s), and will be required to demonstrate competencies in the following areas:

  • Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree AND three (3) years of progressively responsible academic office, general administrative, and/or supervisory experience OR Associate’s degree AND five (5) years of progressively responsible academic office, general administrative, and/or supervisory experience.
  • Computer Skills: proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Word, Excel (advanced), Outlook, and SharePoint.
  • Customer Service: provides service that consistently meets or exceeds the needs of students, colleagues, and the community.  Builds and maintains internal and external customer satisfaction with the services offered by the college.
  • Interpersonal Communication and Problem Solving: effectively builds and maintains inclusive, mutually respectful relationships with people from diverse social groups and uses intelligence, common sense, and tenacity to solve difficult or complicated challenges.
  • Self-directed: ability to produce accurate and timely work with minimal supervision.
  • Critical Analysis Skills: ability to identify issues, evaluate options, form accurate conclusions, and offer solutions.
  • Vaccination requirement: Per Washington State Proclamation 22-13.1: college employees must be fully vaccinated.   • The initial appointment will include a 6-month probationary period and the employee will earn permanent status after successfully completing probation.

Salary Range: $4,777-6,260/month | Step A-L (commensurate with qualifications and experience) | Range: 56 | Code: 106G

Successful candidates typically begin at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases.
