About the Position 

The Affordability and Equity Data Analyst is responsible for turning data into insight to be used to make program, project, and policy decisions that advance PWB’s affordability and equity goals. As the Affordability and Equity Program Analyst you will partner with bureau teams to understand program and project needs; collect and analyze data to inform policies, practices, and standards; and communicate findings. You will play a key role using data insights to support the implementation of priorities outlined in the bureau’s Plan to Advance Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion and the bureau’s Strategic Plan. This work will include equity needs and performance assessments, and research on benchmarks and outcomes.


Duties and responsibilities include: 

  • You will collect, track, aggregate, manage, and analyze data using statistical methods to help bureau leadership and staff make better decisions.
  • You will be the lead on identifying data, designing analysis, performing analysis, and presenting your findings.
  • You will interpret and use Census, American Community Survey, housing, and economic indicator data.
  • You will provide expertise in the understanding of economic conditions, inequities, and opportunities relating to affordability, workforce, contracting, business, and service delivery dynamics.
  • You will be highly skilled in R, Python, Power BI, ArcGIS, Tableau, Excel, and other data analysis tools and software.
