Over 50? Wash That Gray Right Out of Your Search

Retirees are reentering the workforce in record numbers as nest eggs shrunk. Other experienced workers are on the job market a result of company restructuring. There are steps older job seekers can take to stand out from their younger competition.
Senior job seekers must begin with understanding that the reality of the new job market, like the fact that the day of the gold watch retirement is over and that your next job will not be your last.
Your skills, your accomplishments, your abilities, and make you more valuable than the younger competition. You have to know what they are and how to sell them. Don't forget to include your work ethic and your mature professionalism.
Although you can't judge a book by its cover, you don't want the employer's first impression be that you have not kept current with your skills. Special attention has to be spent on your appearance to be sure you are not sending a wrong message.
